About Us

Since 1974, the Assistance League has helped tens of thousand individuals, children and families in the Salt Lake community.  Powered by our members, we fund, staff, develop and assess a diverse philanthropic outreach.  Our programs are regularly evaluated and fine-tuned to respond to changing community needs, ensuring the highest benefit for those we serve and the greatest results for our donors.

• Baby Bundles Provided to hospitals across the Wasatch front, they include layettes of blankets, clothing diapers and other essentials give newborns a warm welcome into the world. We provide over 1,100 bundles annually to families in need.
• Assault Survivor Kits® Created to meet immediate needs of those victimized by sexual violence at rape crisis centers, survivors are given new set of clothing, undergarments, and personal hygiene products. We supply over 600 kits annually.
• Personal Care Kits The unsheltered populations in SLC are provided with reusable bags containing essential items for health and safety, including first aid items, socks, and seasonal necessities. We provide the Weigand Homeless Resource Center with 1,200 kits annually.
• Cleaning Kits The Utah Refugee Center is in constant need of kits of cleaning products to support our refugee families. Our bags include laundry and dish soap as well as other items for home hygiene.
